How does Switch Learning assist your child?

Switch Learning uses an online learning acceleration program called Fast ForWord®. Fast ForWord® was developed based on neuroscience research that builds the brain's learning capacity, making learning easier and faster.

Fast ForWord® connects, automates and strengthens the 3 key areas of the brain the same way a fit athlete builds muscle memory, through repetition. Each day the student is prompted to answer hundreds of increasingly more difficult exercises in quick succession, using scientifically-based neuroscience principles.

The brain of a struggling reader differs from the brain of a good reader - this has nothing to do with ones' intelligence. Brain imaging studies show areas of the brain activate in a normal and struggling brain. In struggling readers, critical areas of the brain used for reading are not activated as they are with good readers.

Fast ForWord® can also be used with children who have been diagnosed with Dyslexia, ADHD, Auditory Processing Disorders (APD) & Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD).

Racheal Bell has 10 years teaching experience which included team leader and various literacy support roles. After completing her Reading Recovery training in 2005 she became passionate about helping children with learning difficulties.

In 2011, Racheal completed her professional certification training to become a licensed provider of Fast ForWord®. She is supported by the team at LearnFast, Sydney where they are continually providing her with the latest updates of neuroscience and education.
